No .pdf file loads

Whenever I access a site that gives more information in a pdf file, I click on it and instead of the file I get a litle square with a red x in it. How can I access this file? Do I need to change settings to be able to access these files automatically.
I have the latest Acrobat Reader installed.

try right clicking and select the option to "save target as" That should download the file and you should be able to open it then.

Cheers. That did the trick.

Hi, You should be able to open and see the PDF files while still in Explorer but I think you will find that you recently updated Explorer which removed the Adobe plug-ins from Explorer.
If you reinstall Adobe this will reinstall the plug-ins back into Explorer and you will then see the PDF file opening after clicking on it instead of the box with the little red cross (or possibly various shapes).
It's a great pity that Microsoft and Adobe can't get together on this point.
