No PC sound input from behringer mixer

  aca 09:48 30 Aug 08

Got my son a mixer for him to record/mix bass on PC.

Mixer is: Behringer EURORACK UB802 Mixer

He wants to put output from his bass amp into the line in into mixer, then out to pc soundcard.

When configured this way there is no output to PC.

However when you put bass guitar direct into line in ie miss out the bass amp, the pc receives input.

Any advice appreciated.

“However when you put bass guitar direct into line in ie miss out the bass amp”

The bass amp signal is to high and over loading the mixer line in input

Doing it that way will damage the mixer line in input

The correct way is connect the bass guitar directly into the mixer line in and the mixer line out to

the computer or amp line in

Hi, I'd like to get your advice on a very simple matter. I'm trying to connect my keyboard to my behringer ub802 mixer and then get signal on my audio-computerprogram (Magix). I connected a jackjack from the left output of the keyboard into the 'line in jackchannel' on the behringer. No little red light signal on that channel.
Also I connected stereo tulips from
'tape out' on mixer into the blue 'line in' socket of my Asus comp. Settings in comp. are sorted, that's not it. On mixer, tape to controlroom is pressed, and tape to mix isn't. Does this make any sense to you? I really hope so.. Thank you.
