  lazanda 14:48 26 Jun 04

My pc is saying no output signal on the monitor when its plugged in and everything seems normal. I managed to get it in safe mode (although I cant remember how) from BIOS did a system restore but nothing changed.

I have tried the monitor with a laptop and it works fine. Any ideas ? the thing is it all seems to start up ok it goes through the normal motions then just before log in 'No output Signal'

Thanks for any help,

possibly your graphic settings have altered,

try looking in safemode, f5 or simular during post.

could be your monitor cant handle the refresh rate thats set.

Sounds like a problem with the graphics card

basic driver in to start and safe mode (F8) when windows loads card driver no output from card.

In safe mode control panel system hardware device manager unistall and then reinstall display drivers or update your display driver.

Re-seating the Graphics Card may easily do the trick.

Just take it out and put it back in. Remembering only to touch the edges and NOT (under any circumstances) the contacts.

I reinstalled both card and drivers and all is fine.
