no msn emails

whenever i try to get into my emails ie7 pops in to say "the page cannot be shown".can open msn homepage but as soon as click on mail,up pops ie7 again.if i click on 'connection problems'when this page shows and run twicei i get two different answers one tels me it is a winsock problem,and the other it is to do with http,https and ftp ports. have been down the winsock rout with windows web site and winsockxp repair. can use internet through ie7 in all other ways as normal,but can't get my emails.running xpsp2. any thoughts please.thanks mike.

Try running through the normal routine, totally, as per setting up your hotmail account again, over-writing anything already there in your chosen email program.
Just a chance that this might correct something within the set-up.

cheers technotiger,but anything to do with ms email,even trying to get more info from windows live ect; ie7 pops in with it's stupid mesage.
