No ISDN Device?

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me sort out a friend of mine's PC.

She tells me that since she ran the latest Window Updates she gets the message "No ISDN Device Found, run the Microsoft ISDN Configuration Wizard" together with the yellow triangle / exclamation mark symbol. When she clicks on it it goes away and the system runs happily.

She doesn't have ISDN (only a dial-up modem).

I've got her to check in msconfig, startup to see if anything was set in there and also to check Device Manager but nothing is showing.

She is not computer literate and I don't want to mess her machine up - so any clues would be most welcome,

If the PC has any USB connectors, the USB ROOT hub drivers should installed even if there are no USB ports in use. This should show in the Device manager.

These drivers are normally loaded with the O/S and can be reloaded easily. The method will depend on your O/S.

Go to the MS help and support website, type in the message in the search box and you will find the answer.
