No internet connection, Red light

Hello, Ive had my Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Gateway running for about 6 months with no trouble. Last wednesday the red light light came on where it says 'Internet'. After uninstalling and re-installing my Isp and ethernet card, re-setting to default the Router, and going back four days (Restore) on my desk top, the result is the same. So out came my 'old' BT Voyager broadband modem and I am connected, again. However I need my wireless router because there are two laptops that use it also.
How do I tell if my router has blown up, or my Desktop Network PCI Card has gone faulty, or my cable between them is faulty? Please

If the wireless laptops are not working then it would seem not to be the cable or network card but a problem with the router.

thanks, just found the prob. The password had for some reason become corrupted. Thanks again hertz Van Rentyl.
