No Internet Connection on Power Wake-up

Operating System: Windows Vista
Notebook: Sony Vaio

When I boot up everything is working OK.

Put the computer into "Low Power State" (Sleep).

When I "wake-up" the computer I have no internet connection.

Open Network & Sharing Center => Unidentified Network

Click Customize => Click Private => click Next

Network & Sharing Center => Click Diagnose & Repair

Windows Network Diagnostics window appears
Message: There might be a problem with one or more network adapters on this computer

Click Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter "Local Area Connection"
=> Windows tried a repair but a problem still exists.

Again Click Automatically get new IP settings and the problem is resloved.

Any ideas how to maintain the network connection when going back into normal operational mode from "sleep" mode?
