I have a Trust 445A ADSL modem/router which is connected to a Netgear WGR614 wireless router/access point which in turn is connected to my XP PC through an ethernet cable. This all works fine. I also have a Win98SE PC with a Belkin USB wireless adapter fitted which connects to the wireless network OK and I can share files and printers between the two PC's. However I cannot connect to the internet from the 98SE PC despite four days of trying various things. The IPconfig's for the two PC's are as follows:

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What is the Windows 98 PC connecting to with its "wired" ethernet adapter that is also running a DHCP server and allocating addresses in the 10.0.0.0 subnet? Does disabling that connection make any difference to the ability to access the internet?

The wired ethernet adapter was in use when I previously had the network set-up as a wired network but is now redundant. I've disabled the TCP/IP adapter for this and it worked.

thanks very much mgmcc, that was the problem all along.
