No Fireworks Styles

I have just installed my macromedia Fireworks MX 2004, only to discover that there are no preset styles in the styles Panel. I have checked that there is a tick against Styles in Windows on the toolbar but I can't see the coloured style boxes on the panel at all. I know they're meant to be there as they are one of the first things explained in my Fireworks manual.

How do I find them? Anyone had this trouble too?

Howdy.

I've been right through all the configurations of Fireworks and can't see anything that would cause your Styles not to appear.

If you know the name of the Styles file you want (the missing one), click on the icon on the top right-hand side of the Styles window and select Import Styles...

Tip: if you don't know the name of the Styles file, search your hard drive for *.stl and it will find any that exist. If none show up, run the same search on your Fireworks CD and import them from there.

HTH,

Chris.
