No DVD Rom

I swapped a dvd rom and cd rom between my two pc's. The one i fitted the dvd rom to recognised it at first and worked ok, but for some reason the pc decided to shut down on its own, and on restart i cant find the dvd rom. i've looked on the start up screen, and its shown as a secondary ide, but looking in system and hardware devices it doesnt show up. ive done a search for drivers (its a Samsung SD-616) but can only find ones for SD-612s. will this do the trick, or is there somthing else i need to do?

What I have also just tried is disconnetcing the dvdv rom and restring the PC so that it shows it as not there, then reconnecting and rebooting. It shows it in the bios on start up screen but still windows isn't picking it up as found new hardware

I've just run the Add New hardware wizard and it showed the device and said it was working properly. Looked in My Computer and there it was. I'll see how it goes
