No dual boot

I have my C drive partitioned and have Vista installed on it. I have read on here threads regarding dual boot, so i decided to install my XP on the other partition. The threads had said if Vista is installed first then the PC would automatically show both operating systems at boot up. Unfortunately it boots straight into Vista. Vista is still on the other partition but how do i make the PC give me the option at boot up?.

I cannot seem to find existing threads to solve this.

As far as I know Windows XP should be installed before Vista to allow duel boot. If you install Windows XP after Vista you will need a boot manger to give you the options.
