"No Dial Tone" on Pay as you go

  questions4u 20:49 25 Apr 08

My mothers pc has ben accessing the internet via a dial-up modem with BTfor some time. Recently It will not connect and it says "no dial tone". I have plugged a phone into the phone extention and the dial tone is fine. I have also waded through all the modem settings and trouble shooting options and everything appears fine. Any ideas before I attempt to replace the modem card (Sitecom 56K PCI modem)?

Make sure neither 1471 nor 1571 is enabled. If modem is talking to PC then it is likely to be cable.
