No connectivity

I keep getting a message poping up from my task bar saying limited or no connectivity, the computer works fine I don't have any problems but it pops up every time i turn the pc on, can I disable it? I think its for networking but I'm not connected to a network, I'm a novice.

Try having a look in network connections, if you right click on the icons present then you can disable them. The one under dial up should be your internet connection so dont disable that one. Hopefully that should cure the problem
