No beep on new mobo

Just fitted a new mobo expo cu133 and PIII 1.13. have set switch as shown in manual but on booting all I get is power, no boot sequence or beeps. Am I missing something really easy, or how would I know how to go about troubleshooting?

I would check the ram is seated properly--usually the problem with no beeps.
Failing that you should clear cmos and try rebooting [instructions to clear cmos will be in mobo manual ]

hope that helps.

An AGP card that has not seated fully can also give this problem. So double check it has gone all the way in. AGP slots on new Boards can be really very stiff to insert the card into.

Have you connected your speaker to the right pins?........

Have tried your suggestions folks but no joy. My PIII is a tualatin the ad for the mobo said it would support it, but the manual just says for coppermine, I think it may be a case of trying an ordinary PIII
