no automatic updates

running windows xp home with service pack 2.
automatic update is turned on but nothing installed since late november. tried microsoft update site and still no joy -says computer is set to automatically update- and still cant resolve the issue.
any help would be appreciated

Have you tried turning it off, restarting, then turning it back on?

Have you tried switching automatic up-dates off,Then when you reboot computer switch it back on again,But if you tried downloading it directly from Microsoft,And you still dont get any up-dates,If you have gone into Microsoft and checked the last up-date day and time,And it was November, I can only think that they are treating you as not having not registerd you copy of Microsoft,And maybe think you are using an illegal copy, May be better to phone them and find out what is if this is the case, But they usually give you a warning first,.
