I have just built a new pc
P4 2.8Ghz Prescott
PC Chips M952 motherboard
Maxtor 160G HDD
Sapphire Radeon 128Mb GPU
512Mb Crucial RAM
Switch it on-nothing happens-why? Is it a PSU problem I am sure that all the front panel conectors are correct

First things to check are

1. RAM Chips seated correctly

2. Graphics card seated correctly I believe the radeon card can be a little tricky.

Do the obvious first: Plug in at wall, socket sitched on, mains lead in rear of PC, Fuse ok in plug, monitor switched on. There was a thread about a month ago where people were admitting to spending hours searching for non existant faults we have all done it.

As Fruit Bat /\0/\ suggest, check all he mentions. When you say nothing happens, do you mean nothing at all? Does the PSU spin up, any lights on the tower unit, any display on monitor even if it says "No signal"?
