I have a laptop & a desktop which both have linsys wireless cards which access the internet broadband connection via a Linksys WAG54G router. I have just upgraded to NIS 05 and after a couple of hours the desktop wont conect to the internet unless the laptop is fired up.
Is there a setting somewhere within NIS which treats the laptop as a gateway or something?
All was fine before on NAV 04

Check that the laptop TCP/IP settings are set to gain an IP address automatically.

Hi recap, the settings are already on automatic.

I have found since that even with the laptop and desktop switched on that the connection is disabled after an hour or so while using the desktop. Only way to reconnect is to switch users on the laptop.
The router seems to still be connected it's just that IE is seemingly being stopped from connecting?

Check the firewall settings on both PC & Router (if applicable).
