new toshiba laptop wont stsrtup

ihave bought a new toshiba Satellite Pro C660 laptop for xmas ,i turned it on for the first time and it asked me to select language so i did then next it ask wat operating system to install and int is windows 7 so i clicked next ,then it opened up a dos window it looked liked it was seting up partition drives it say it was done and to press any key to continue so i did adn i keep getting
x:/windows/system32 and thats it , it wont do anything else,there is no recory disk with it in the box , so wat do i do.

As it is new
my first advice would be to take it back.

but you could also try (at your own risk)typing restore7.exe after the x:windows\sysem32

this should invoke the image in the x partition and reinstall windows 7 on the c: drive
