Umm, BT line problems, lucky to get on here>

I have installed in a friends system a 5.1 soundcard.

To my mind, you boot up the PC and uninstall the AC'97 Onboard sound card driver, then restart go into BIOS and disable it.

Turn off, install new sound card and install its drivers?

Now the PC will not shutdown?

I have tried IRQ numbers and no other slots are avaliable.

Any ideas?

Go into device Manager and have a look at the sound Resources for conflicts

Only a cheap one: Sumvision 5.1 channel sound card.

Seen the website, no drivers.

First thing I checked.

However Graphics card shares the same IRQ as the Sound card.

No conflicts are shown though.
