New PC recommendations for small design firm

We run a small but creative landscape design company and are in great need of this forums help! We use autocad (but mainly in a 2d capacity) photoshop and in design along with the Microsoft standards of word, excell, ppt etc. we desperately need to upgrade both our software and our pc's. We produce a large number of high res files along with lots of photographs. Can anyone recommend a good PC to upgrade to and any thoughts on cloud software as we regularly work in 3 different locations.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Kind Regards Gavin

It's a bit like asking which car to buy.

Most new computers will easily handle the Microsoft office side of things, but for the AutoCad and image files you will need a reasonable amount of RAM. Go for something like this, and you should be fine.

Cloud services are many and varied, but they all work in the same way - you upload your files to a remote server, and access them from anywhere in the world. Security is of prime importance where business users are concerned, and if you're going to store files in the cloud make sure you have a separate backup on some kind of removable media. In the field this can be a USB flash drive.

Not saying that its the answer for you, but late last year I purchased a number of Apple computer's from a professional design company, and their new replacements were also Apple, which they seemed to have high regards for.
