I like Dell and have never had any probs. But if you're ordering online expect to be very disappointed with the delivery times. They can lie.

As in the previous post...Be careful.

Spec your own if you must buy Dell else check out Misco, Novatech and think about building your own.

Interesting suggestion.

I gave up building a few years ago when it became impossible to build for the same orice as companies like Dell/Novatech and others were selling complete with O/S warrantied systems.

Is a now possible for kdt to build a system comparable to the Dell Vostro 430 and save money?

thanks guys. still not confirmed but delivery around end jan or earlier indicated. i went through system build online & had chat online as well as phone.don't mind the delivery though earlier better as ddr3 prices dropping i think. have been considering for a while now. son still prefers xp so this is best of both worlds...can upgrade to w7 later when xp support ends around 04/2014? just want to ensure from the forum if build looks ok for around £800?

to add i have been using dell for the past 10 years without any trouble...present pc came with w98 then upgraded to w2000 pro now has xp pro...10 years but processor slow memory low hence better new pc than upgrade components?
