I have an old laptop running XP Home.I want to add a partition to enable me to run Win 3.1 I am happy to reformat the hard drive if neccessary and start from scratch.
When I run FDISK how do I allocate the partitions to give me 1GB for Win3.1 and 9GB for XP home?

as above if you use a program like that or as I use Acronis Partition software you can run from a floppy disc and it's just a case of making the partition smaller by dragging a slider then create a new fat16 partition with the free space left. As Win 3.1 uses Fat16
