To Gongoozler,MartinT-b,Ben Avery and Woodchip. Thamks for your time in supplying the help you gave me. As promised I will now tell you what the prob was. I came to the conclussion that it was a driver problem with the new graphics card trying to use the drivers that were still there from my old graphics card. To get back any system at all I had to clear CMOS by changing the jumpers temporarily. Start up in Safe Mode copy any files I wanted to keep to another drive and re-format C: drive reinstall windows and reinstall all my other programs. A lot of messing but I got there eventually... Again thanks for your help. P.S. Gongoozler I'm nearlt 60 so your can't be ALL THAT OLD.
Good luck to you all and I shall now have a look through to see if "I" can help someone>>>>
