Hello all,

Have to buy a new mobo as mine has been found faulty & they wont replace it! Had a Asus board before, but the bios wouldnt see my HD. Still thinking of buying a new Asus board, but have heard Gigabyte and Asrock are okay. Any reccomendations or opinions would be great! Price range of around £100-150

Im afraid we need more information first;

What is your current cpu (if you plan on reusing this).

Can you post the previous Asus board details ?

For what its worth,i use Asrock boards for P4 rebuilds...not had a problem to date from them.

msi boards are also good and reliable.

In general, I would recommend ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI - not in any particular order. However all brands have the odd dodgy offering (usually caused by trying to get ahead of the game with new technologies) so check reviews before you buy.

I believe that Asrock is the budget arm of Asus.
