What will you be using it for? Please list all activities. If going to play games (i.e. non-Windows ones), please list these as well. G

The second and third laptops from Dell click here are good deals. The third one has the most up to date processor and therefore more future proof.

If you don't want to exceed your budget the 2nd one in The Kestrel's link should be fine.

Otherwise, consider these:

£354 Compaq Presario CQ56-111SA Laptop click here

£367 Acer Aspire 5741Z click here

£394 Asus X52F-EX469V click here

Also look on Amazon for others, & to compare prices. G

Regarding the Acer Aspire 5741Z for the cost of £367.20,Reading the reviews it looks very good.Just a point one review was regarding seting it up when it arrived,What did he mean?,is there a lot of work setting up etc?.Never purchased one from the internet before its all new to me.
Thanks for assistance.

Setup means taking out the contents, connecting the charger to the mains & the laptop, then switching on the laptop. During startup you may get the option to enter a username & password.

I cannot imagine what else is involved! But if there's anything more involved that you cannot figure out just ask us on here. G

Hi,Do you have any thoughts on this one

This laptop has a Celeron processor which is inferior to either the Dells I suggested or the laptops suggested by Crossbow7. It does however have a larger HDD than the others. Personally, I would go with the superior processor.
