new install vista still 50 gb

hello i just reinstalled vista home on my computer. put in 2gb of pictures And Tuneup utilties 12. and it has took 41gb of space is this right or can i delete loads. if so what can i delete. Thanks

Doesn't sound bad. I've just checked my system and I'm using 1.268TB of 6.5 TB but that dows include 1717 font files totalling 463MB

Does it have a folder called Vista.old? See here. You can delete that if you wish as that will be taking a fair chunk of space.

Some of your system files could be much larger than they need to be. Check size of hibernate and page files, also system restore space.
