I have just fitted a new hard drive, as a slave.
The ribbon going to the first installed drive has slave marked on it so I just connected it to the new slave drive.

All the system programs are still on the other original c drive which is as it was before the slave was put in

Win XP says new hard where detected but thats all.
I cant see anything except the C: in My computer.

The new drive is a Samsung 80 Gig and the original is a 40 Gig ,Samsung as well I think.

Any help please.

Did you set the jumpers on your new drive to 'slave' config?

  Rayuk 19:14 28 Apr 04

You will have to go into disk management and format the drive .
