New Hard Drive incompatible?

Just installed a new hard drive which is a Samsung SP1213N Ultra ATA 133 but so far I can't get my PC to see it.

The specifications of my MOBO (FIC VC37) mention ATA 100 but not ATA133....so have a bought something that won't work with my motherboard or have I just not installed it correctly?

I've set the original drive to Master and the new one to slave.

Any help welcomed.

If it's not detected in the BIOS diskmgmt won't also.

Check those jumpers. Are you using Master/slave or cable select?

Using Master/Slave but will just check the jumpers...

Thanks all, it was simply the jumpers not positioned/inserted correctly...new drive is formatting now.
