hi i am abut to change my 80g hard drive for a larger one i have a acronis image of my 80g drive dose acronis increase the image drive to the new drives capacity thanks Chippy

No it wont, you will need to use the rest of the drive as a seperate partition.

Yes, no problem. Do a defragment of the larger drive after the cloning.

It's the other way around (larger to smaller drive) that will not work, if the files copied exceed the space on the smaller drive (obviously!). G

You need to tell it to use the full Partition, Me I would leave it and create a new partition with unused space
