I need to upgrade my graphics card from 9600 pro.
Ebay are selling nvidia 6200 512 mb for £96. Do you think this is a good upgrade or do you have any other suggestions

for around £100-£140.

never mind.

Have you gone for a card, if so which one?

With that budget I would be looking to get a 6600GT which are around £120.

This is one on my shortlist. At the moment Im using a 9600 pro but am now finding it slow so I want to make sure I upgrade to a card which is at least 50% better. The 6600 GT you mention has 128mb, and just 8pp but apparently makes up with 500/500 clock speeds. Do you mean the 6600GT made by Aopen aeolus?
Thanks for replying.

Do I go for a 9800xt, 9800 pro or 6600GT?.

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you, I've been in work all day.

Any good make of the 6600GT should be fine such as PNY, XFX, Gigabyte, Asus, Aopen etc. but I would do a quick search on Google before you buy the particular brand to check in case there are any common faults with any particular one.

Out of the 3 cards you listed, I would certainly go for the 6600GT. Browse through the various benchmark tests on these links (more at bottom of the pages) to see how they compare - click here click here

Another thing, make sure you buy an AGP version of the card and NOT PCI-Express as it will not fit (assuming your keeping the same motherboard).
