New discovery with AVG Anti-virus updates....

  Gaz 25 01:52 07 Jun 03

I have never noticed but if you convert the update page on www. grisoft .cz click here,

You can download only the updated virus files withing the month, so no more 3.4Mb files, now about a 1Mb.

Faster to download.

Never noticed before, but can it work wit AVG 6 FREE English ed?

I don't know about others but I have always d/loaded the updates from the .cz site ever since I've had AVG. I have always found it much faster than the old .com site and I believe you can in fact now only d/load the updates from this site!

Anyone Beta testing 7? Downloaded it but need to wait til i can remove 6 first!!!

  Noels 15:14 07 Jun 03

For reasons I won't go into, I uninstalled both the above via Control Panel uninstall and Windows Explorer Windows Programmes Norton delete. I think I completely removed all Norton files etc.

Now when I come to reinstall NPF It goes right through the install process to the end, then promptly rolls back all that it has installed. It does this every time.

As a safeguard I have in the meantime installed AVG which I uninstall when I want to try reinstalling Npg etc. OS W98se I also diable all other working programmes.

Any ideas please??
Regards Noels
