Hi,
I am new to the pc world, but just currently started 3d modelling and doing a gaming course at university,so my role involves a lot of character and level desig. I was just wondering if you would review my computer specs and see/suggest anything else with much more cost to my budget if need be??

Jason

Are you serious?
I think that system will handle anything you can throw at it,including the demanding Crysis at high resolution with everything else maxed out.
The graphics card alone is around the £600.00 mark.
I would love to know how much you are paying for it.And yes,i'm a tad jealous.

Very nice. I would have added a second hard disk though and use it for processing/modelling all output files (plus external drive for backup). Easy to retrofit both though.

Hope it's not been ordered from YOU KNOW WHO !!!!

Looks like PCSpecialist to me :o)

My only concern would be the 64bit version of Vista. Not all software is compatible with it's very stringent requirements.

Not sure about NORTON 360 Suite though.

For any serious graphics / gaming level design the monitor is very weak, I would want at least a 24" or poss a 30" monitor. Especially if spending that amount of money on a specialist graphics card.

Thanks guys for your critique..

Like i said I'm unfortunately not that much I.T. minded when it comes to components..I went for the 19" monitor as my budget pretty much ran out by then....but will plan an upgrade for the new year though when the sales are on :).

What is norton actually like????

I have heard a couple of ppl mention about norton being that great.

would you recommend anything else as I will like I say be slighly modifying it after the new year.

It is on its way as we speak,so I am unable to change anything :(.

Thanks guys.

450W Quiet Dual Rail PSU

I would be wanting more W than that myself

TBH it's a bit too late to ask for comments when You've already ordered it. No doubt you'd have had many suggestions prior to that.
