I am thinking of buying a new comp; mylocal shop said he cant build one cheaper than SHEPLEY DIRECT not at the specs i showed him it was a PowerHouse model £1173 he said the 128ATI Radeon 9500 Graphics with 8xAGP, DVI TV-Out would be better using GFORCE 4 plus a number of other things quoted in advert he reckons the items used might not be top quality the ad is just before page 172 in PC Advisor May issue 93

Have a look at the new Aldi offer - seems to be even better than the last.

but the point i am trying to put across is if comp build is local and built to my specs i dont have to accept other equipment i dont need

The Shepley specs look good to me. I am sure they would refute the claim that "the items used might not be top quality".

Buying locally does have it's advantages from a support point of view if things go wrong.

It's your choice at the end of the day.
