I need to get a new computer in a hurry as my old one is on it's last legs but unfortunately am on a tight budget of £200. Any advice as to processor speeds etc would be most appreciated also if I can use my original windows xp if new system does not have a built in os

"if I can use my original windows xp if new system does not have a built in os"

If it's the full retail version, then yes you can use it again, so long as it not used on another [active] computer. If it's an OEM version, then no you can't use it on the new PC.

Is your existing computer a desktop?

If so, and assuming it's not too ancient, you could save money by replacing only the tower unit and re-using the old monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Have a look at these people, who sell end-of-line, refurbished, bankrupt stock and so on.
