New Build. Error message when formatting in NTFS

  PhiltheFragger 17:06 26 May 04

ASUS A7N8X-E Delux Mobo
Athlon 2800
512 mb DDr Ram ( from Crucial as per mobo)
80 GB Maxtor Hdd
128MB Radeon 9200se graphics

When loading XP , Been through the BIOS and setup routine, it allows me to format the partition in NTFS, them after a couple of minutes, I get an error message
on a Dark Blue screen which says" IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP 0x0000000A etc

I have swapped the following items with no effect

PSU, RAM, Graphics card, Hard Drive,XP CD.

Am beginning to suspect the Mobo or CPU.

Have Googled the Error message and it seems to be linked to a problem with graphics drivers, but I have tried several different cards by different chipset makers to no avail.

Anybody have any ideas?
