I am planning to assemble a new computer. Did this about 4 years ago and have never regretted it but its long in the tooth now!

I mainly use 'work' applications and photoshop but I also enjoy games. Not interested in TV or movies.

Heres what Im planning. Id be grateful for opinions or advice - should I think of other components. Will these work together OK?

Intel E8400
Gigabyte GAP35 D33L
OCZ 2GB DDR2 RAM
Asus 8800GT (512) graphics
Western Digital 500GB Hard Drive
Sony DRU1905 DVD RW
Coolermaster Elite 330 case
Arctic Power 700W PSU
Vista Home - still a bit unsure of this, I have some technical software that I need to check for compatibility with Vista so might be XP

Reusing keyboard, monitor etc
Total cost of this is around 500 - some small variations depending on whether I get it all from one supplier or shop around but this is my ball-park figure give or take £100

Thoughts and advice gratefully received!
