New to broadband, two questions

  Cybermaxx 20:08 01 Mar 04

1) This is the first time I've used Internet Explorer. i was with AOL dial-up before, and used their software. Now I'm with Pipex. At the top of the screen it says "Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by". Now, last year I did install a Tesco dial-up disc, but I never actually signed up with them, and I soon uninstalled it. Er, how do I get rid of the Tesco bits? Is this just harmless decoration?

2) Is it normal for the cursor to keep having a sand-dial flash up next to it every couple of seconds when using broadband? I can't remember this happening so often with dial-up........

Yes, I am slightly paranoid, but this is all new stuff to me!

Thanks for that, Vog, it worked perfectly! Now how the heck do I read and write e-mails? AOL has spoiled me!
