Hope your motherboard accepts greater than 137 mb hdd in its bios: else you could have to update.

My hard drive is the Western Digital 180Gb speical edition 8mb cache and my motherboard is the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe nForce 2

Ummmm, Was it partitioned correctly?

Or it could be u need to update the Bios.

i also used magic partition 8 which i recovered some space which wasn't partitioned properley (7mb). I haven't solved the problem yet, as i haven't downloaded the XP service pack yet but it will be done shortly. Thank you all for you help =)
