Networking Win XP

I have tried without sucees to network my desktop and laptop. Both are running Win XP and connected via an Ethernet hub. After running the Win XP wizard and on trying to access the network I get a message saying "you do not have permission to access, the network path cannot be found"

Configure ICS (internet connection sharing) within ZA and type in the IP address of the other computer into the safe zone.
