Networking problem

  Octoz 19:39 07 Nov 05

I have a d-link 524 wireless router and a BT wireless laptop adaptor.
The set up is: NTL cable modem-router-desktop: wireless connection to laptop.
The network places menu shows both computers but if I try and access one computer from the other it won't let me do it saying that the network path is unavailable.
I am also trying to share printers but the above problem prevents this.
Both computers are running xp pro sp2

Do you have any firewall software running that could be preventing the computers from communicating? Normally, it is necessary to put the PCs on a network into the firewall's "trusted" area, so that traffic between them isn't blocked.
