I have three pc's on a network (wired) --hub---router--cable--modem-Question is when my connection is just through the modem ,my IP adress is assighned dynamic,,but when my router is hooked up it has my 192.168.x.xxx address (winipcg) is this correct ,or is my configuration set up wrong when I first set up network without internet sharing ..

Ran into problem with my winsock file getting corrupted,, so checking my possibilities of not repeating this....Only running one pc with modem know??????????? Thanks

What is the router configured to do? How are you IP addresses on your pc's assigned? Is your router running DHCP?

IP addresses are assigned dynamically (automatically) tcp/ip ,not sure how to check routers configurations?,it said it is configured as a DHCP Server.

router looks like it wasn't instaleed properly, went through IE with IP.address, router is set up for DHCP.PC's are configured to obtain IP dynamic.

If it is a Nokia IP55 or WebRamp 600i, let us know, I might have the answer.
