Network Key Problem

Purchased a Medion Wireless Lan Router 54 Mbit/s 802.11g yesterday, the router came with a Wlan USB Adapter. It has asigned me a network key (wep/wpa)which i put in to the security set up, but i cant get back on to the network because the the number i was giving is far to long, 26 characters max, the number i have is double that. Is there any way of getting back to the default settings?

Your supplied network "key" is probably for WPA encryption if it has more than 26 characters.

64-bit WEP uses 10 hexadecimal (0 to 9 and "a" to "f") characters

128-bit WEP uses 26 hexadecimal characters

Try changing the encryption setting in the Wireless Network adapter's settings to use WPA and it should then accept the full key.

Thanks MG, all sorted, back to factory settings.
