I am tryingto expand my home network and am thinking of buying Linksys WRE54G , does anyone know if there are any compatability issues if my current router is not Linksys. It is an Actiontec. I don't want to waste £50 on it if there will be problems. Can anyone recommend the product? Cheers

What are you actually trying to do? Add wireless to a wired network? Get more ethernet ports or what?

It would be unusual to have two routers at the same time.

Myou might want a wireless access point or a switch.

I currently have a wireless router attached to my PC the range is crap and cannot pick up a signal upstairs in my sons bedroom, he has a PS3 that requires a connection so I am trying to look at solutions, one is to buy a signal booster to run alongside my router

Look at these options

1 - If your router antenna can be removed look at replacing with a hi gain antenna

2 – Install a Hi-Gain™ Wireless-G Range Extender

3 - Check this posting

You will have to upgrade the firmware in the
Hi-Gain™ Wireless-G Range Extender to get the max range
