my son has just got a acer aspire ax3812 it is a space saving desktop pc and he wants to install a wireless network card. can anybody advise him what to buy as it is smaller than a normal pc some cards will not fit, are there even any cards out there that wil fit or is he better trying a usb dongle. thanks for any help.

I'd stick with a dongle - I use this one click here. It has a docking port, so can be located away from the PC to improve the signal if required.

I would agree with using a USB Wireless Network Adapter but, if the router is 802.11n, then obviously a compatible 802.11n adapter should be used - 150Mbps or 300Mbps, depending on the speed supported by the router.
