Netscape connection problem

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact the proxy server you have configured. please check your proxy settings and try again."

This is the message i receive when trying to use my Netscape browser. I do not use it often, i normally use IE6.

I basically do not understand the message! Where can i find the 'proxy settings'

I have disabled my firewall (norton) and still recieve the same message.....

XP Home Netscape 7.2

Cheers Kev

It should have done it automatic when you set it up. check, click Edit in menu Preferences\Advanced\Proxies it should have a tick to connect direct to Internet

I have opened Netscape and gone to edit/preferences/advanced. I cannot see any reference to proxies.

Am i on the right path?

Netscape 7.1 worked fine.

I have removed and reinstalled, but the same message reappears!

Well I have version 7.1 and 7.2 and it is in the path above in my computers, down to the bottom in Prefs expand and it's there

Got it! Didn't realise it was a double click on 'Advanced'.

Cheers Pal.
