Can this router be turned off when PC's are not being used as ours is constantly lit up 24 hours each day?

Routers are meant to be kept on all the time but I you're worried about electricity or something then just unplug it but remember to plug it in before you start up the computer to allow it to start up preperly.

This question arose as part of a wireless router topic that I posted a couple of weeks ago.
Most people seem to turn off their routers when not in use. Actually I don't. My Belkin router hasn't got an on/off switch, so I would have to pull the power lead out (or ferret around behind the bookcase to find the wall switch).
Bottom line: I don't think it's particularly important whether you do or not, provided there's no hint of your router getting excessively hot after being on for a long period. Getting warm is normal.

Mine is left "on" all the time, as is the modem.

No, not worried about electricity, i just wondered whether it was ok for it to be on all of the time. Thanks for the help.
