Nero software

I am trying to install Nero 8 and as the installation takes place I have a message saying there is a newr version already installed. I have tried to remove anything that looks like it may be causing an issue and have tried usind add/remove facility in the control panel (XP Pro).

I can only think there has been an unsuccessful installation previously (my kids most likely)and a quick cover up by them although they are admitting to nothing (as usual)

How can I clean out anything that may still be lurking about to enable me a clean start etc?

Any help would be fantastic thanks.

Try downloading Ccleaner from here

Before you install and use it there is a video how to use Ccleaner tutorial here (center column very last item)

This should safely clear out any remnants of a previous Nero install

Cheers HC

Quick response, download 'Nero Cleantool' from 'Support' on their website. Install and run.
