Are you writing to CD or DVD?

Update Nero to current version: click here

Which pioneer model?

Have you tried just writing a few files?

Could you possibly try different media?

Another thought is to turn your burn speed down a bit, this can definatly help as a lot of disks don't burn at the highest speeds, you end up just making coasters. Check the DVD manufacturers website for the recommended disks and try to get some of them.
