Can anyone tell me how I can add text frames at the start of slide shows that I make in Nero 6

Dont think you can do it, just tried in VCD and DVD and the option to create chapters, which is what I assume is needed to do this is greyed out and unavailable.

HP do free software called " memories disc creator " that is very good, but i cant find the link at the mo.

Have a look at this earlier thread:

The HP Memories disk link is (or it was) when I downloaded it:

If that link doesn't work I still have it on a CD which I can send to you if you email me your address. The download size is 35mb so if you are on dial-up it will take some time.

Nero and many other slide show prog do not allow this. however one that will is to be found at

Free download and a posher paid for version.

Of reputable Image egitor will allow you to put text on the image - just like a postcard
For example PaintShop Pro and PhotoSuite are but two.

If you wish to keep originals as they are then using SaveAs will direct the captioned copies to a folder of your choice.

There is more --reading this thread again.
In an image editor create a new image and
select text and type in the text page.
You can also create backgrounds by scanning colour paper or anything else that comes to mind, and saving the results in a 'Backgrounds Folder' in My Pictures. Experimentation is the key.

And here is another way.
Imagine you want a page of text -real reading stuff not just odd lines.

Create the text in word.
You will only be able to make a half A4 of it
8 wide 6 deep.
The font should be 16/18 size any style you like.
Apply curves and graphicy things if you as available in your version of word.

When you are ready

Click to gether on ALT and Print Screen.

Now close word and go to a grphics editing
Go to file - Create New.
Int the new blank page got Edit/ Paste
You will be asked new imapge or layer?
Say new image and bingo you have an image of the text page ready to be saved to the image file of choice.

When you open file select and image of choice.
Go to Edit/Paste and when sked new or layer select Layer.
The text will then hopefully lay over the image.

Play around a lot

Hey! yor tryping is a good/bad as mine prectice makes it a lot worse.

What graphics Editor?
there are so many it difficult to choose
My one of choice at the moment is
Paint Shop Pro
Other that will do the business are
Roxios Photo Suite
Photo Shop Elements
Serif series
Photo Impact
{ Photoshop is apart from price [£600 +] a bit 'heavy' for a casual user
A Few Free ones like the Gimp
And recent strings on this site mention a freeby from Google
