Needing a PING! Getting cut-off from net.Dial up.

A friend of mine is on dial-up tho repeatedly after 20 min if PC 'idle' on net gets a cut-off. However not actually idle but playing a Java game on Yahoo!
I'm thinking that the ISP 'thinks' friends pc is not surfing & so gets cut-off. I have heard about progs that effectively just 'ping' the ISP to let them know that still on line & thus stop cut-offs. Am I correct? If so any ideas?
Thanks.Win Me.Tho might be XP (she's got 2 pcs!)

In IE click on tools then internet options on the screen that opens click on connections then highlight the dial up connection and click on settings you should then have the option to set idle time before disconnect to never

Yes thanks -had thought of that one.
Its the ISP that does the cut-offs not windows.
